Senior Year WOO!

Wow definately never thought I'd be sitting here in the midst of senior year. Time has flown by and I honestly don't know where it's went... but what else is new? I thought this year would be completely awesome, but it's turned out to be moderately ok. My classes are pretty challenging this year, I'd even say harder than last year. But I hope that that will only help me next year.

I'm still working at Jewel and although I say that I hate it all the time, at least I'm passing my time in a productive way and have some spending money as well. It's nice to be able to save up and buy things that I acutally want now instead of using everything for gas or insurance.

I'm sort of tired of everything. I have senioritis already and I get less motivated every day... going on Kairos soon though so I'm excited! Until next time...

Update WOO!

History Fair was last week, I think my board looked pretty good and I'm happy with the way it turned out, I just hope that the actual written work (which is the most important) was strong enough. I'm hoping that we get our grades back tomorrow, I don't know if I'll be able to wait until Monday, it's so far away!

This week has been really weird. I've gotten almost no homework and I feel like I haven't been doing anything at all. I'm starting to lose some of my focus, which is bad so early into the second semester. We peer read (I guess you could call it) the in-class essays from last week in English today. It was the most agonizing torture I've ever gone through. I hate my writing when I'm so rushed like that, and then when one of my classmates has to read it... :\ But somehow, surprisingly I got ok "grades", a 6, 7, and 8 (tomo is crazy it was not that good)... so I know that they were just being easy graders, but I'm happy to know that at least it was probably around a 5/6 with Dr. K.

Band competitions and formal are coming up fast. I don't know where the time went. I'm pretty sure I'm going, it should be fun... not too sure about the theme though.

Anyway, that was my update because it's late and there's nobody to talk to :( (aka matt's not here).

History Fair

Updates! Yay, although I'm quite positive nobody even pays attention to this anymore, oh well.

Lets see...

Yesterday=surprise bday party for me!! I seriously love my friends. I don't know what I'd do without them. They are indescribable and wonderful and awesome and cool and the best. They brought my spirits up and made me think about nothing other than having a good time. I loved it. Thank you so so so so much.

Umm finals were last week. I'd like to just leave it at that and forget about them.

History fair is in a little less than two weeks. Its coming along ok, almost done with the annotated bib, then I just have to get my pix together, write captions, put my board together, write my summary statement form, and tie it all up. It's a lot to do, but if I focus I think I'll be able to get it done... I'll just lose a lot of sleep in the process... lol.

We (meaning my parents and I) got talking about seeing Phantom again today. I would really like to, but it's so much money to go all the way to New York and then see an expensive musical. Maybe I'll start saving up money so I can go sometime when I get older and my mom will let me go with some friends. It's coming to Kalamazoo in April/May, but those tickets are twice the amount of the ones in NY, so I think that's out of the question. Oh well... eventually I'll see it again.

Well that's my update... I'll try to do it more often lol.

Wow, it's been quite some time... heh

So much has happened, I don't even know if I can write it all down. First quarter has come and gone and I didn't do too bad in any of my classes. Color guard this year was awesome! I had so much fun, and I love the team, but I am kind of glad to be back in concert band again.

Speaking of band, the open house was today, and we played. Afterwards I went out for "tea" with Toria, Matt, Rich, and Mike. It was much fun... especially Toria's amazing driving skills and Matt being called HOT VANILLA... that was quite funny... although I don't think he thought it was.

I made HP shirts on Saturday, which was lots of fun! My shirt says I <3 Snape!! It's green paint and I love it. I can't wait to wear it. HP in 5 days! I'm ever so excited. Oh and RENT comes out soon too. I'm really excited to see that....

I really don't know what else to write about, even though its been months since the last update... so I'll be going now...

First Day of School

So day #1 of my junior year started today. I don't think it was too bad. I like most of my classes and I like most everybody in my classes. I'm excited to get the year started. I know that this year is going to be the hardest, but I think that if i work hard and focus on the important things, I'll be able to make it through. Then it'll be senior year and the end of high school. I really don't think I'm anywhere near ready to have that happen yet.

Well, that was just a short update on what's going on, not that anyone actually reads this.

The End of Summer

Summer has gone by so fast!! School is starting on Wednesday and there's only two more days left. I'm sure they're going to go by fast as well. I have about 125 pages left in my history book, and I think I'll be able to finish by Friday... I just have to concentrate.

Yesterday I went to see Skeleton Key with Christina, Theresa, Kristina, and Chrissy. I thought that it was just going to be another "scary" movie that really isn't scary at all, but was pleasantly surprised. I thought the story was actually pretty good and I would have to say that I actually liked the movie very much.

So now I just have to worry about getting ready for school and I need to still go shopping to buy new school shoes and stuff. Hopefully I can do that tomorrow...

Yearbook camp, Lauren's party, and the Beach

So yearbook camp was an interesting experience. I feel like I really didn't learn too much and we were all really confused about what we were supposed to be doing. But oh well, it's over and we made it, so that's all that really matters.

Lauren's party was on Saturday and was much fun. I had fun hanging out with Christina, Theresa, and Lauren. We played basketball and talked and went to the park and she had Mint Chocolate Ice Cream Cake which was sooo good and I wish I had some right now...

Sunday I went to the beach with Lauren, Christina, Karen, Jimmy, and Steve. It was a lot of fun and it was a perfect day to go. The water wasn't too cold and it was nice to go swimming. I had so much fun and I'm glad that we went.

I guess I thought my post would be longer than this, but I guess not...

Lauren's Surprise Bday

So yesterday I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory again with Lauren. It was fun and I got her out of the house so her sister and friends could decorate her basement for her surprise bday party!! We had fun and Christina had the most brilliant idea of blowing up Lauren's freshman yearbook picture and pasting several of them all over her car and driving around. It was simply hilarious.

Next week I have yearbook camp, where I'll be learning how to become an editor. I'm excited and I'll be able to catch up with Anjalee and Tessa. School's in only a little over 3 weeks, and I still have 2 books left to read...

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is such a good movie!! "Good morning starshine. The Earth says, Hello!"

I went with Christina, Kristina, and Danielle and we enjoyed it very much. After the movie we went to Noodles and ate some yummy food. We had to drop Danielle off though, because she wasn't able to spend the night. On the way, my car started acting all weird, so I drove home and Christina was so WONDERFUL to drive me. It seems that there's something wrong with the alternator or the battery... and now it doesn't even start, so hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

So we slept over at Kristina's house and we watched Napola, which was a verry good movie, and the Butterfly Effect, which was strange, but good. Then we made me a myspace and it's kind of interesting I guess...

This weekend was some much needed fun.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!!

OMG OMG OMG

I just finished the best book I have ever read. Words cannot even describe how much I adore JKR and her lovely HP books. I just don't know how I will be able to survive another 2, or more, years before the next and last book comes out.

Friday was fun... Kristina, Danielle, and two of Kristina's friends went to Naperville for a HP party downtown... it was so much fun! After that we went back to Kristina's house to watch the third movie and I was able to get my book at midnight!!

Christina and Theresa went to the Mugglenet party and dressed up and looked amazing but unfortunately they said the party wasn't all that great. So they ended up going to Naperville too, but we were already gone.

Anyway, about the book... I still think that Snape is good despite all the evidence against it and I will stand by this theory forever. I think DD told him what to do and it was all part of some intricate plan... and Snape is currently working undercover or something like that and in the next book he'll make some grand reveal and will ultimately assist HP in some way... its just too weird to think that he is evil. So maybe I'm being naive but I don't think that this is a stupid possibility at all.

Fun Fest!

Yesterday was so much fun!! I went to the Fun Fest with Karen, Anjalee, Jimmy, and Mike. We went on most of the rides, and zipper was probably the best. We couldn't stop spinning and Anjalee's purse kept falling and hit us, but it was funny. The tilt-o-whirl was sadly disappointing, but I won one of the races on the fun slide!

At 5 we left to go back to Karen's house for a while before the fireworks started. We played Super Smash Brothers and Monkey Ball and watched "Jesus Saves" on tv before we left again.

We went back to the fest, but within five minutes of getting there, we decided to leave and go to the park... We ended up going back later and saw most of the show. It was pretty !

I slept over at Karen's house, which was tons o' fun!!!

Well that's about it for my day...

Only 4 more days til HP & HBP!!!

Happy Fourth of July!!

The parade today was fun for the most part. I messed up a few times because I wasn't in time. . . but it wasn't that bad. Karen and I were going to do something but we couldn't find anybody else, so I just ended up going home. . . which is good because I caught up on some much needed rest.

I started the Life of Pi and am officially on page 6! I read the forward too, however, so it's not that bad. It looks to be an interesting read.

I just took the Harry Potter sorting thing from Kristina's blog and I was sorted into . . . yay Slytherin! . . . Only 11 days til HP&HBP, yay Christina!

Speaking of Kristina: After hearing everything she told me about the university she went to in Puerto Rico and the living conditions, it just makes me feel so lucky and privledged. I take for granted everything that I have, but I am really such a lucky person.

So that was a potpourri of the ramblings of my mind...

Well the lack of updating is due to the lack of anything interesting in my life.

I saw War of the Worlds yesterday... the movie was pretty good but the ending sucked! It was very anticlimactic and was stupid... oh well, at least the special effects were pretty good.

I've been having a lot of weirdo school related dreams lately... its so strange. I just wish I could get it out of my head. I mean its summer! Why can't I just think about that??

Yes, thats right...I've got this competition in the bag. I'm already in the process of learning the alphabet and have some of the characters memorized. I'll be reading and writing in no time.

Summer has been so dull for me. Every day feels like the same thing. I need a job so bad, but nobody is hiring. Next year I'm going to start looking in March like I should've done this year. If anybody wants to do something then call me!

My first post! I have to thank Christina for the name, Finite Beauty, which is amazing and Kristina for helping me make it.

I have started to teach myself Korean and by the end of the summer I hope to be able to speak it well. Christina's teaching herself Finnish and we've decided to have a competition on who can learn their language the best. We're gonna quiz each other and the winner gets.... something. We haven't decided yet.

I got my report card and actually did surprisingly well on finals. I also got a letter about US History Honors and found out that we get summer reading! O yay... but I also have to start thinking about a topic for the history fair. I want to do something really unique and different...
